Paintball.. not for the faint of hearts
Finally had my run in paintball. It isn’t as easy as I though it might have been. To sum up my thoughts in points
#1 Its tiring, coz theres alot of stop & go sprints.. gotta be an Olympic sprinter..
#2 Its painful!!! no joke.. u’ll get blisters for those close range shots on open skin, and even thin clothes.
#3 Its really fun.. lol.. wouldn’t mind going for more games, but must put on proper gear.
Check out this picture of my partner’s "wound"… thats just 5 minutes after we were shot "dead" by the opposing team. We adopted a wrong strategy to charge, coz we got ambushed badly. He was in the front line, while i was the back, supposedly to cover him… he got 4 shots, 2 on his arm, one on his chest, another on his back.
See how bad is this. Blister pop immediately… which is why i said it isn’t for the faint of hearts. I got shot straight on my face mask… as you can see fr the first picture. So imagine if this is real life war, I would have had my head blown into pieces. LOL.
A little brief on the type of game we played. The type of scenario paintball we played is called the Urban Field. The field is made up of old houses, some huts,
trees in the compound and bunkers. This is layout is
good for Close Quarter Combat (CQB) and scenarios like
search and rescue, protect the president etc. etc.
So our mission was to shoot down as many "enemy" as possible, while trying to retrieve the flag at their base and return to our base, in one piece of course.
Well, we lost in our first attempt.. coz our offense team was gunned down real fast, and our defense team was out numbered. They ran out of bullets trying to protect our base.
2nd and 3rd game ended up in a tie as we adapted a more defensive approach. I survived the 2nd game, but somehow, 1st and 3rd game, i seems to get head shots. Funny.. my head must be too big. LOL. But i did get a shot ricocheted off my hips… which resulted a bruise.. darn. No joke.. the shooter was easily more than 20 feet away from when i got shot. Imagine if its close range… i would succumbed to the same injury as my partner.
But hooray to Team 4.. we got 3rd place. At least something in return for getting 2 head shots.. hahaha.
